A Way of Life by Mary Bromiley MBE available to purchase now
Mary's latest book 'A Way of Life Healing Animals' describes the ups and downs, both frustrating and amusing, of her life from childhood to eventual success in animal physiotherapy.

With tales of Mary's early life, her visits abroad, success in animal physiotherapy, her work with local trainers Martin and David Pipe and Phillip Hobbs and her interesting life on Exmoor - learning from the neighbours how to do things the 'Exmoor Way' - you will find this an interesting, at times quite amusing and hopefully useful read.

The Team at Downs House Equine

Mary set up her first specialist rehabilitation centre for horses 1984.
She has always been fascinated by the ability of the equine athlete for years and pioneered the transference of physiotheraputic methods from humans
to the equine athlete.

With her daughters Penny and Rabbit she runs a small rehabilitation business, concentrating their efforts on imparting their knowledge and information to those
willing to gain a greater insight into the importance of massage, stretching and specific controlled exercises for horses.

Mary is at present working with National Hunt and Flat Trainers including David Pipe and Phillip Hobbs

Penny Slattery - A rider trained by the late Colonel Bill Froud. Penny has worked with Mary since the conception of the first rehabilitation centre in 1984. She devises and undertakes all the exercise routines and she is a qualified equine masseur.

Jennifer (Rabbit) Slattery - Rabbit holds a degree in Sports Science and Sports Therapy. As well as being Chief Therapist to the British Racing Industry she runs a private practice dealing with injuries from a multitude of sports at all levels
