Leading to a Diploma in Equine Sports Massage
Curriculum
for a course in Equine Anatomy, Physiology and Massage
leading to a Diploma Examination by I.T.E.C. (The International
therapy Examination Council)
This course
will provide the foundation and understanding required to enable
successful graduates to be recognised as professional masseures
- Post Graduates are currently working in United Kingdon, Australia,
New Zealand, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Greece,
Italy and North America.
Entry
requirements:
Age 21
at the commencement of the course.
I.T.E.C. Diploma in Human Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage
(or equivalent) Please send a photocopy of your certificate.
5 passes at G.C.S.E. (one in English) or proof of an equivalent
educational standard. photocopies of education level)
Overseas students will require a certificate from a recognised
educational authority showing an equivalent standard to the
above.
Students must provide written proof that they have worked with
horses, preferably in a professional yard or equivalent for
a minimum of 4 years.
Details
of Course:
Minimum
course length 100 hours. This includes contact tuition (5 weekends
over a 6 month period), distance learning, private study and
practical sessions with an ITEC Equine masseur and a vet.
Examinations
both written and practical and a 3.5 thousand word topic relevant
to the course.
