The Rest and Be Thankful Inn


Our local pub is The Rest and Be Thankful Inn.

This used to be an old coaching inn but now specialises in quality accommodation and excellent home cooking with Sunday Carvery.

The pub is a popular venue for local skittles, darts and quiz nights and has facilities for children and the recreation field with its play area close by.

The Moorland Hall


The Moorland Hall was built in 1934 and plays an important part in our village life. Many of the local clubs hold their meeting and fundraising events. These include W.I., Friendship Club, Young Farmers, Art Classes, Short mat Bowls, Youth Club, Play Group, Mother & Toddler Group, Parish Council.
