This year's Event

Snowdrop Valley is now closed for 2026. The confirmed dates for 2027 are Saturday 23rd January – Sunday 28th February. Please check back for all the details about the 2027 event!

ABOUT SNOWDROP VALLEY

Snowdrop Valley is a privately owned remote valley in a hidden part of Exmoor close to Wheddon Cross. The Badgworthy Land Company kindly allow access to the valley while the beautiful carpet of snowdrops is in bloom throughout February each year.

There are various walking routes for visitors to enjoy, the most popular being the shorter walks, which are approximately 1 mile down to the valley and looping back uphill for a further mile. Maps of the walks will be available from the parking kiosk, staffed from 9.00 – 4.00 each day.

PARKING

The main parking will be at the Cutcombe Cattle Market (TA24 7DT) car park, the charge is £5.00 per car, £10.00 per minibus and £30.00 per coach. Cash and card payments accepted.  The road down to Snowdrop Valley is closed to all vehicles (other than permit holders) during the event dates.

All coach parties must be booked in advance, please call: 07791 717058 to book your coach in.

Alternative Parking on Market Days: there are market days at the Cutcombe Cattle Market. Snowdrop visitors will not be able to park here on those days. Alternative parking is at the Rest and Be Thankful car park. Signage will be in place. All market days will be communicated ahead of the 2027 event.

BLUE BADGE HOLDERS

It is possible to obtain a vehicle pass for Blue Badge Holders. We can only allow two cars down to the valley at any one time. The vehicle passes can be collected from the kiosk. We ask that a refundable £10 deposit is provided, this will be returned to you when the vehicle pass is brought back to the kiosk, after your visit. The passes cannot be booked and are issued on a first come, first serve basis.

REFRESHMENTS

Find the Snowdrop Valley Café open in the valley. The café is operated by volunteers and is raising funds for Friends of Cutcombe & Exford Schools. Cash preferred, card machine available although signal can be a challenge! All café dates and opening times will be advertised ahead of the 2027 event.

Back by popular demand is the Monk Trail, 50p per child to take part.

The Cutcombe Market Café will be open, please check opening hours. In Wheddon Cross village there is a local shop (there is also a petrol station and ATM) and lunches will be available in The Rest and Be Thankful pub (group bookings on 01643 841222).

There are free public toilets at The Rest and Be Thankful car park.

BE PREPARED!

It is winter, the weather can be variable and the paths are MUDDY! Please ensure you wear suitable warm and waterproof clothes, sturdy footwear is essential.

You can bring your dog to Snowdrop Valley. We do ask you keep them on a lead and pick up after them.

If you have any questions please contact Jim on 07593 199021 or Eric on 01643 841222.

We wish you a wonderful visit to Snowdrop Valley!

**Please remember to wear suitable footwear.
