YOUR VILLAGE NEEDS YOU!

Cutcombe Fete 2024 was a huge success, with exceptionally high attendance and the day was enjoyed by all. The success of the fete is thanks to a great effort from the fete committee who share out various planning jobs prior to the day. This year the fete raised enough funds to donate £1100 each to the Church, the Hall and Cutcombe School (to be used towards swimming pool improvements) – which is fantastic for the village.

To ensure there is a 2025 Cutcombe Fete, there are some positions on the committee that must be filled. Our current Chair (Tracy) is moving out of the area, and Rosy (Schedules & Entries) needs to take a step back due to other commitments. For the Chair role, Tracy has prepared a month by month checklist to make things as straightforward as possible for whoever takes over. For the schedules and entries, Rosy has pre-prepared all the documents and is happy to assist this person in the run up to the event. On the day, we also need extra members to help with running the stalls and we are always in need of extra stewards in the tent / help in the tea room.  

If we do not replace these roles and have some extra help, it will not be possible to run next years Fete which would be a massive loss to the community and the local charities that benefit.

Please can we request that volunteers come forward by the end of October 2024, at which point a decision regarding next years fete will be made.
